A member of the Moorestown Psychiatry team will review your information to ensure that we can meet your medical needs and ensure our practice approach aligns with your expectations. You can also call Moorestown Psychiatry at 856-900-2699.
Moorestown Psychiatry is an out-of-network provider and does not participate in insurance plans because many insurance companies dictate the length and frequency of appointments for each patient, which may be inadequate in providing quality care. Dr. Kapoor believes it takes more than 10-15 minutes for a follow-up appointment when one is prescribed medication. This is also in accordance with the recommendations of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Our practice requires full payment at the time of the appointment. You may pay via HSA card or credit card. We will provide you with a medical receipt (also known as a superbill) that you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. You should contact your insurance plan in advance of your appointment to inquire about their "out of network" reimbursement rates. Medicare and Medicaid will not cover these services as Dr. Kapoor has opted out of their systems. For billing inquiries, please contact admin@moorestownpsychiatry.com anytime.
Dr. Kapoor is licensed to practice in the states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. For in-person visits, the office location is:
We also offer telehealth services, which allows for a combination of convenience and effective treatment.
Your appointment time is specifically reserved for you. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please call at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. If you fail to do so, we may charge you the full appointment fee. Emergencies are excluded and at the discretion of the practice.
If you are late for an appointment, you will be seen for the remainder of your reserved time. You will be responsible for the full session fee with the exception of documented medical emergencies. This includes initial visits.
All prescription refills will be sent on the date of your appointment. Moorestown Psychiatry will provide enough medication until your next scheduled appointment. In the event you miss your appointment, please schedule a new one as soon as possible.
We understand how difficult it is to keep track of busy schedules, appointments, prescriptions, and refills. We never want you or your child to run out of medication, so we will do our best to respond quickly to all requests. Please provide complete information about the medication you need refilled so there is no delay.
If you need a refill between visits, please allow two to three business days. You must request the refill directly with the practice. Please do not depend on your pharmacy to request a refill or a new prescription. If your pharmacy tells you your medication is not available, please call multiple pharmacies to see where it is in stock.
Before you ask Moorestown Psychiatry to write "Name Brand Only" please confirm that you are willing to pay the sometimes substantially greater cost.
Prior authorizations are completed by Moorestown Psychiatry as a courtesy to the patient. Ultimately, it is your contract with your insurance company that dictates whether a prescribed medication is approved. We charge a fee for appeals beyond prior authorizations. We have found that sites like GoodRx allow patients to purchase medications directly from local pharmacies for substantial discounts and bypass the need for prior authorizations.
All voicemail messages will be checked during routine business hours Monday through Friday. Medically urgent messages will be returned as soon as possible while routine messages will be returned in 24 to 48 business hours. If you are having a medical emergency or are having thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, you should call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency room if you are able to do so safely.
Initial evaluation intake forms need to be completed and electronically submitted through our secure Osmind Patient Portal no later than 72 hours prior to the appointment. This allows Moorestown Psychiatry the time needed to carefully review your medical history in advance of your appointment. If we do not receive the forms by the intake form due date, your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
