About our text messages
Moorestown Psychiatry sends text messages from 856-900-2699 to patients who have asked to receive them. We send messages about appointment scheduling, appointment reminders, prescription refill coordination, and other matters relating to your care. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
How you opt in
You may consent to receive text messages by completing the Text Message (SMS) Consent section of our Patient Information and Professional Service Agreement, or by telling a staff member during an appointment or phone call. Either way, consent is affirmative — we do not text patients who have not asked us to.
Consenting to text messages is not a condition of receiving care or treatment. If you prefer not to receive texts, we will contact you by telephone instead and your care will be the same.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. You will receive a confirmation, and we will not text you again unless you opt back in. You may also opt out by calling the office or by notifying us in writing.
Reply HELP at any time for assistance, or call us at 856-900-2699.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies depending on your appointments and your communication with the practice. Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Moorestown Psychiatry does not charge for text messages.
Important limitations
Text messaging is not secure. Standard text messages are not encrypted while traveling over your mobile carrier’s network, and once a message reaches your phone it may be seen by anyone with access to your device. We limit what we include in text messages, but we cannot control the security of your device or your carrier’s network. If other people have access to your phone, please consider whether text messaging is right for you.
Text messaging is not for emergencies. This line is monitored during business hours and is not checked around the clock. If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, call 911. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, at any time.
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
